Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi both found the back of the net as the Al Nassr Al Hilal All-Stars defeated Paris Saint-Germain 5-4 in a thrilling exhibition match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.
Ronaldo opened the scoring for the hosts in the third minute with a penalty, but Kylian Mbappe equalized for PSG just five minutes later. Messi then gave the French giants the lead in the 34th minute, but Ronaldo leveled the score again in the 45th minute with a stunning free-kick.
The second half was just as entertaining, with PSG taking the lead once more through Sergio Ramos in the 53rd minute. However, Luciano Vietto equalized for the All-Stars just two minutes later, and Talisca put the hosts ahead for the first time in the 58th minute.
PSG substitute Hugo Ekitike leveled the score again in the 78th minute, but Anderson Talisca scored the winning goal for the All-Stars in the 94th minute.
The match was a memorable occasion for football fans around the world, as it marked the first time that Ronaldo and Messi had faced each other since the 2020-21 Champions League round of 16.
Ronaldo now has 820 career goals, while Messi has 797. The two players are widely regarded as the greatest of all time, and their match in Riyadh was a fitting tribute to their incredible careers.
